I'm a software engineer from Venezuela. I graduated in Computer Science in 2025, built a platform used by 400+ students and staff as my final project, and have been building my own products since.

I started studying Computer Science in 2021 at IUTAR in Cagua, Venezuela. Honestly, it wasn't because I loved the idea of code. I'd seen what people like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg built, they started with code and turned it into their own companies. I wanted that same path: a skill I could use to build something of my own, not just get a job.

Before graduating, I was the only engineer at a local technical school, building a management platform for 400+ students and staff. The deadlines didn't move for me. The requirements kept changing while I was building. And once it launched, I had to keep it running, not just show it off and move on. That's where I learned the difference between code that works and software people can actually use every day.

After graduating in 2025, the first things I built were for myself, tools to help me stick to habits and stay disciplined. That's where ResistGate and Amethyst came from. I wanted something I trusted enough to run on my own computer and watch my own screen time. It wasn't about privacy as a mission. It just turned out that building for myself meant keeping things simple and local.

I build because useful software doesn't need to be complicated. The tools I've shipped all started the same way: a clear problem, a simple interface, and data handled with care.
That's not a privacy mission for me, it's just good practice. Storing less, depending on fewer things, and tracking only what's actually useful makes for better software, not just safer software.
I want to build things that help people focus, learn, and get work done faster, without the usual tradeoffs that come with "free" tools.
